# Copying an existing data room

> How to create a new data room by copying an existing one

A new data room can be created by copying an existing one from the **Data Rooms** page of the [**Administration Interface**](/administrating-data-rooms/accessing-the-administration-interface).

To copy a data room:

1. Locate the data room to copy in the **Data Rooms** table.
2. Click the **Create copy** button on its row.
3. Adjust the pre-filled fields in the dialog that appears.
4. Click on **Create copy**.

<Info>Only files and folders are copied. Settings, user rights, Q\&A, and other configuration are not.</Info>
