This feature is only available in Light Data Rooms.
Direct link access allows you to invite users to your Light Data Rooms without requiring them to have an Aversure account. They may be invited with a personalized link or with a generic link. Inviting users with a personalized link allows them to access a light data room without having to set up an account. If they have an account, they can also use it to access the data room. Personalized link access allows you to track the user on the Statistics page of the Administration Interface. To invite users with a personalized link:
  1. In the Administration Interface, go to the User Rights page.
  2. Select the Data room in the drop-down box in the header.
  3. Select the User group Reader (link access) in the next drop-down box.
  4. Click on the Add users button and invite the users.
The Service will send an invitation email to the users with a personalized link that gives them direct access to the Light Data Room. You may also create a generic link that can be shared with multiple users. The link can for example be copied and inserted into an email or document that you wish to share. You cannot track individual users with whom a generic link has been shared. The link generates entries in the statistics but you cannot see which users have accessed the data room with the link. To create a generic link:
  1. In the Administration Interface, go to the User Rights page.
  2. Select the Data room in the drop-down box in the header.
  3. Select the User group Reader (link access) in the next drop-down box.
  4. Click on Create Generic Link.
  5. Tick the box Shorten link if you prefer a shorter link to a longer (and more secure) one.
  6. The link will now be shown. To copy the link, click on Copy Link to Clipboard. You can now paste the link wherever needed.
  7. The link is saved in the list and can be viewed and copied at any time by clicking on View.
